MANAGING YOUR EMOTIONS

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (EI) is one’s ability to recognize theirs and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour. To survive in this “urban jungle”, EI becomes essential, along with one’s social skills and qualifications.

 

Learn how to identify one’s emotional changes and how to manage it. Also, know more about EI based on how one handles unexpected situations and how EI could help in one's reaction, thinking, decision making as well as problem solving. Next, let’s experiment on how EI is applicable in daily social life as well as working environment.

 

Uncontrolled emotions can damage others. Sometimes, in a tensed environment, people with uncontrolled emotions may lash out, thus influencing their quality of work. This scenario often occurs in both working life and student’s life. That is why companies stress on the importance of EI in recruiting new employees.

 

In this workshop, we would like to invite our participants to learn on how to recognize their EI and ways to control it and apply the knowledge in daily life. Then, participants as the future applicants will also learn on how to manage emotions as a preparation before entering a work force.
